Problem:

Alexis, a manufacturer of emergency vehicles including pump trucks, ambulances, and fire trucks, was struggling with an unreliable wiring harness supplier. The existing vendor consistently missed delivery deadlines and provided products with quality issues. These problems caused shipment delays for Alexis and added troubleshooting costs on their end.

Solution:

ArcFlo partnered with Alexis’ purchasing department to gain a deep understanding of their product needs and lead time expectations. Through consistent performance, we built a reputation as a reliable supplier. During an onsite visit, Alexis observed our capabilities firsthand—including our ability to go beyond manufacturing by offering engineering insight. As trust grew, they began shifting more parts to us. We also developed a prototype enclosure with suggested design improvements, which they approved and awarded to us.

Result:

Over time, our collaboration led to multiple cost-saving and quality-enhancing design suggestions. In March 2025, Alexis invited us to their headquarters to explore a deeper partnership. They engaged us to redesign all of their standard harnesses and deliver the completed intellectual property. The redesign work is currently in progress and includes enhancements that reduce cost, improve manufacturability, and elevate the final product’s quality. In recognition of our value, Alexis designated ArcFlo as the single-source supplier for those redesigned parts.
